About the client

Our client is a fast growing Australian food business manufacturing for both retail and restaurants. Based in Western Sydney the company has been well established for over 20 years and is seeking a National Operations Manager to assist with the exponential growth forecasted for the future

About the role

  • Drive operational improvements through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes on site;
  • Overseeing inventory, purchasing supplies, maintaining resources by determining needs, hiring employees, overseeing the training and employment of employees and staff development.
  • Management of all matters relating to projects, including scheduling works and ordering to achieve outcomes on time, on budget and to a high quality.
  • Analyse and improve processes, and work to improve quality, efficiency, productivity, safety, training and compliance.
  • Work with the sales, supply and warehouse teams to identify potential problems and advice on solutions for existing problems and enhance existing processes and procedures.
  • Monitor inventory and oversee import management.
  • Enhance and oversee a comprehensive QA management system.
  • Support the development of others through mentoring and training.
  • Analyse business requirements and ensure that technical tools are in place to support business growth.
  • Detailed project planning and management.
  • Provide status reports to the directors.
  • Deliver projects on time and on budget.
  • Identifying staff training needs and devising and managing training programs.
  • Promote a collaborative and high performance environment.
  • P&L analysis and management.
  • Mentor, support and guide team members.

To apply you will have

  • Proven Operations Management experience within the sector (people management)
  • Analytical experience within operations
  • Customer Service management experience with food and beverage ADVANTAGEOUS
  • Internal/external stakeholder relationships and experience.
  • Franchise and QSR experience highly regarded

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in business management or similar.
  • Experience in HACCP and OHS.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to build strong relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Adaptable and proactive.

Salary dependant on experience - $130,000-$200,000 package
