Randstad is seeking an experienced Systems Support Officer to provide assistance and respond to issues raised by internal and external users and maintain the integrity and development of the organisations financial systems.

Key accountabilities:

  • Support ICT projects in relation to the business systems e.g. AP Automation, DecisionMax, Blackline reconciliation and integration of bar-coding and capture software with Finance One.
  • Support current configuration of existing systems, upgrades to existing systems and implementations of new modules/software.
  • Provide phone and remote desktop support to end users.
  • Liaise with vendors when issues cannot be resolved internally.
  • Ensure comprehensive testing of bug fixes provided by vendors.
  • Review and analyse existing applications for both effectiveness and efficiency and identify system and process deficiencies.
  • Recommend business solutions which are aligned to the strategic direction of the organisation.
  • Ensure that applications meet business requirements, fulfil end-user requirements and identify and resolve systems issues.
  • Ensure that all policies and practices are properly documented.
  • Document and provide training in an appropriate format for end users.
  • Participate in the evaluation, installation and configuration of new applications, systems software, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications.
  • Facilitate the configuration of systems, document processes and ensure end users are trained on functionality.
  • Participate in carrying out regular data audits to ensure best practice processes are being followed.
  • Enhance the range of reporting tools available to the organisation to further develop the use of relevant applications.
  • Participate in the change control process.
  • Ensure all changes carried out have both technical and end user documentation.

Essential requirements:

  • Proven track record of supporting/maintaining financial applications for a large diverse organisation.
  • System Administration experience with TechnologyOne Financials (also known as FinanceOne).
  • Proven ability to effectively liaise with vendors providing financial systems application support.
  • Ability to effectively work autonomously and as a member of a team in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously with proven analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service focus with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to transfer skills to team members and end users as required in a timely and effective manner.
  • Degree in Business or Information Technology is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of DecisionMax, Blackline, Crystal Reports and/ or BEIMS (now known as Pulse) also desirable.
