National Business Manager- FMCG- Independents

Right now, an exciting opportunity exists for an outstanding National Business Manager to manage Independent Grocery accounts. Our client is a market leader within the seafood industry and has a renowned product offering. This role would best suit a senior sales professional from within the retail/ FMCG sector who has a proven track record in delivering results & thrives in a dynamic, fast paced environment that offers accountability.

Role of National Business Manager

  • You would be responsible for managing relationships within the independent grocery sector
  • You will be responsible for driving sales
  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive growth
  • You will be responsible for managing internal relationships & working cross functionally
  • You will be predominantly Melbourne based with occasional interstate travel
  • You will report into the Head of Sales & Marketing
  • Drive to achieve revenue and profit targets, hitting budget results.
  • Understanding the market dynamics, building and maintaining relationships in line with volume impacts at all levels in the supply chain (wholesale, customer and end user) to drive commercial outcomes
  • Consistently achieve annual sales and profit targets, solve challenges and see opportunities by innovative thinking

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience working as a national account manager, national business manager
  • You will have a proven track record in delivering results
  • You will have worked with FMCG/ Retail, ideally seafood experience
  • You will have strong negotiation and problem solving skills
  • You will have a commercial mindset and be able to identify growth opportunities
  • You will have worked in an agile environment previously
  • Have strong business and commercial acumen
  • Have excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Have the ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Be a highly self-motivated, persuasive and passionate influencer and leader within the team and other business stakeholders
