About the role

The National Account Manager (Coles) will be responsible to deliver the financial objectives of the Key account team whilst directly and indirectly managing customer engagement. Engagement and planning will be a core focus of this role, you will need to Support the development and delivery of category lead customer plans by working collaboratively across functions and then engaging externally to deliver against joint targets. Whilst driving the execution of NPD, category, brand and channel activity aligned to the company’s business priorities and key account customer plans.


Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales results in line with financial targets across Coles retail and on line trading environments
  • Lead and develop Joint Customer Plans to support sustainable category growth from aligned activities.
  • Lead and develop the customer relationships beyond the immediate commercial (buyer) relationship. To include but not limited to Marketing, E Commerce/ Digital and Supply Chain/ Customer Collaboration.
  • Manage risks and opportunities to the trading plan
  • Manage verification of customer claims through the relevant internal and external systems for payment in line with budget and company process
  • Drive for results and exceed targets which include innovation, brand, category, customer and promotional activities

Skills and experience

  • Minimum 2- 3 yrs professional sales account management experience
  • Ideally a business graduate with strong understanding of commerce and/or marketing
  • Committed to build a strong career and commit to create breakthrough results
  • Polished and confident presentation capability
  • Technical skills in account management
  • Effective in cross functional ways of working & negotiation skills
