Music Teacher – Instrumental and Classroom


Are you a multi instrument specialist Music teacher and do you love teaching instrumental as well as classroom music?

Are you looking for a position right now or for a January 2019 start?

Are you willing to relocate to regional North West QLD?

About the schools

  • Private, 1 secondary, 2 primary schools
  • Warm and caring schools with air-conditioned classrooms and interactive whiteboards
  • Based on Christian faith
  • Fantastic Creative Arts programs

About the role

  • Years P-12
  • 2 days classroom teaching, 3 days instrumental teaching (brass, woodwind and percussion)
  • Responsible for the school band as well as a vocal ensemble (room for creativity!)
  • Instrumental will be outside of the classroom with small groups of students
  • Responsible for development and implementation of co-curricular music activities
  • Lead, support and encourage students and staff in the music program

About you

You:

  • Are an Australian Citizen or Resident with valid work rights
  • Have a valid current teacher registration with QCT or ability to obtain this
  • Have experience working as both a Classroom and Instrumental Music Teacher
  • Have demonstrated knowledge of brass pedagogy
