Music Teacher – Classroom and Instrumental

Are you a multi instrument specialist Music teacher and do you love teaching instrumental as well as classroom music? Are you looking for a position right now? Are you close or willing to relocate to the Toowoomba area? If the answer is yes to all these questions, this position might be for you!

About the school

  • Private P-12 college with around 750 students
  • Only religious school in that suburb
  • Modern school with air-conditioned classrooms and interactive whiteboards
  • Have their own performing arts centre
  • Have a strong believe that music can improve academic results and therefore helps students reach their full potential

About the role

  • Years P-12
  • 3 days classroom teaching, 2 days instrumental teaching (brass, woodwind and percussion)
  • Responsible for setting up a school band/ensemble. Room for creativity!
  • There will be another music teacher (also line manager) who teaches piano, vocal and guitar
  • Responsible for development and implementation of co-curricular music activities
  • Lead, support and encourage students and staff in the music program

About you


  • Are an Australian Citizen or Resident with valid work rights
  • Have a valid current teacher registration with QCT
  • Have experience working as both a Classroom and Instrumental Music Teacher
  • Have demonstrated knowledge of brass pedagogy
