Randstad is seeking an experienced Mobile Support Specialist to provide support for data and voice related telecommunications (mobile phones, tablets, mobile data, smart devices) for a large organisation.

Key accountabilities:

  • Provide support and assistance to the Analyst, to upload services consumption data into the system, validate service provider invoices are correctly matched to contracts for payment and/or pricing variances identified, raise and manage for dispute (contract compliance, service outage etc) action.
  • Match data circuit reports from network monitoring tools to data and monitor voice and mobile services for zero usage to identify services billed but which are not used, investigate, and provide expert advice to support in support of recommendations to cancel, upgrade or downgrade a service, or change of usage plan.
  • Provide support to internal and external customers, and liaise with external service providers to resolve end-user telecom services requirements, raise any service related queries with the platform provider to ensure the accuracy of all data, voice and mobile circuits and associated services, including provisioning and relevant contracts, in the system.
  • Enter purchase order and contract information in the tool matched against billing points.
  • Assist with monthly activities that combine operational and performance review meetings with telecommunications service providers.
  • Assistance to prepare monthly reports of spend, tracking new services, ceased services, savings from service disconnects and billing disputes.
  • Assistance to implement and publish on the SNS intranet processes and procedures required for the successful administration and management of the function.

Essential requirements:

  • Experience in infrastructure equipment support contract adds/moves/changes/deletions of items in a large and complex/diverse ICT services organisation; cost, service level, and provider analysis and recommending the best option.
  • Demonstrated experience providing administrative mobile support, prepare reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused solutions.
  • Experience in the gathering and analysis of customer and/or user requirements, identifying options to address requirements in consultation with the customer/user, taking action within delegated authority or make recommendations.
  • Experience with vendor carrier engagement experience with at least 1 of the following carriers: Telstra/PACNET, Optus, TPG, AARnet, NextGen, or Vertel.
  • Experience working with financial processes including budgeting, forecasting, expenditure approval requests, executive briefs and purchase orders.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, particularly relating to analysis of telecommunications, IT systems and 3rd party (e.g. carriers) provided reports and data, illustrating analytical and lateral problem solving skills to identify usage and billing trending and recommendations, and billing discrepancy reports.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
