The Role:

Providing front line of customer service to clients who may be facing significant or complex (mental health) challenges. This customer service will be provided in person (via their front desk/reception) and/or via telephone.

The Service Support Officer will be required to use their discretion in order to assist the clients with less complex requests; this may involve collaborating with other regional offices, relevant government/community service providers to deliver the best service.


  • Provide Customer Service support;
    • first point of contact including meeting, greeting and diverting customers to the appropriate service channel, answering enquiries, identifying and prioritising customers (those who are potentially vulnerable, in distress or have accessibility issues), and escalating potential issues.
  • Provide Administrative support to the clinical team;
    • arranging client appointments, digital and paper based file/records management, sending out SMS reminders.
  • Providing Administrative support to the Outreach Program;
    • processing client allocations, referrals and requests.
  • Provide Administrative support to the delivery of Group Programs;
    • assist with promotional activities, data entry and organisation of events.
  • Provide Operational support;
    • processing invoices, arranging travel, managing correspondence.


  • MUST have worked in a similar varied role; Customer Service/Admin/Reception/Front-of-House.
  • MUST – be an Australian Citizen.
  • IDEAL – if you have a genuine interest in Mental Health and/or Counselling.
