A new opportunity has arisen for a Medical Receptionist to join a private clinic based in Sydney’s East. As the face of the clinic, you will be responsible for taking multiple requests from patients and doctors via phone and in person, so you will need to possess a strong ability to multitask.

This is a highly rewarding, yet challenging role that will only suit applicants dedicated to providing the highest standard of customer care. You will also need to be available to work some weekends if the reception desk requires covering.

Key Duties

  • Welcoming patients into the clinic
  • Scheduling patient appointments
  • Taking calls from patients and health care providers, and escalating when required
  • Processing payments, sending invoices and managing hospital billings
  • Updating databases with changes in patient information in timely manner
  • Assisting Doctors with typing of medical reports
  • Undertaking ad-hoc administrative duties for doctors and nurses

Skills:

  • At least 2 years experience in similar role within medical sector
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and short hand
  • Exceptional customer service ability
  • Strong ability to prioritise and multitask
  • Ability to thrive in fast paced environment
  • High attention to detail
