job description

This organization is looking for a Project officer to conduct mechanical preparation, testing and safety performance assessments on various products such as vehicles, safety barriers, child restraints and helmets in accordance to commercial requirements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Contribute to research and commercial projects, record measurements and documentation in accordance with their Quality Management System
  • Apply NATA registration requirements by maintaining consistent test processes, reporting standards and organizing equipment calibrations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client data and products through the implementation and maintenance of security measures.
  • Ensure tools, equipment and facilities are maintained to ensure and safe working environment.

Some of the challenges will be creating a high degree of test quality assurance within tight deadlines and high volume test schedules. You will also be responsible in overcoming technical difficulties with innovative solutions and building strong stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.

The ideal candidate will have proven hands on experience with mechanical works and have the ability to solve mechanical problems. Practical understanding of Quality assurance will help you succeed in this role. The successful incumbent will have either a qualification or certificate in automotive or mechanical engineering.
