Randstad currently have an exciting opportunity for mechanical tradespeople with one of our industry leading clients who have increased their workload due to growing market demands. Working in the water industry, the successful candidate will be working on various projects in the Western Suburbs on a full time/permanent basis in a role that offers long term employment opportunities as well as career progression.

Job Requirements

• Australian recognised trade cert
• White card
• Current drivers license
• Confined space ticket or willing to obtain
• Knowledge of plumbing or civil maintenance on pipe network systems
• Capability to read, interpret and apply work plans.
• Capability to work alone, with contractors and out of hours.
• Must be able to pass national police check
• Need to have great communication skills via phone and face to face
• Must have a great positive attitude and open to working as a team and autonomously
• Satisfactory Computer Skills
• Demonstrate a level of literacy and numeracy to complete reports

. Your duties are not limited to as follows:

• Work in treatment and water recycled plants
• Able to diversify to civil works sometimes
• Maintenance and repair of broken pipes, surface fittings including hydrants, valves, manholes, etc
• Minor adjustments to water and sewer mains.
• Clearance of sewer chokes
• Use of a mobile computer tablet and smartphone technologies to complete all tasks
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Other duties as directed

All candidates must be able to pass pre employment medicals and will be subject to regular drug & alcohol testing.
