The Role:
- Fault finding, maintenance, and rebuild of mechanical components.
- Conduct overhauls, machining and repairs on Traction Motors, Alternators and Blower Motors
- Conduct static and dynamic testing of electrical equipment.
- Overhauling brake components.
- Utilizing tools of the trade and fixed plant.
- Use precision measurement tools and equipment to determine serviceability and accurate notation of results.
- Replace or repair worn or defective mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies, including, but not limited to: bearings, brushes, brush holders, motor leads, seals, impellers, mechanical switches, fans, coils, and shields.
What You Need:
- Recent experience as a Mechanical Fitter Machinist with a strong focus on safety.
- Physical fitness and ability to handle manual tasks.
- Experience in fault finding and maintenance of components.
- Demonstrated experience in an engineering environment.
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical assessment.
