job description

  • Initial 6 month contract

  • Well established Government agency
  • Rate of $800-900/day + super

Randstad is seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to ensure the continuing maintenance of a large program master schedule and to communicate + coordinate its update across the program stakeholders to facilitate overall management.

Key accountabilities:

  • Maintain the master schedule and undertaking schedule monitoring with Work Stream Leads and Project Managers to facilitate overall management of the timeliness of the project, maintain schedule dependences, milestones and highlight impact to critical path to the Manager, Program Office and Work Stream Leads.
  • Assist in the planning and cost resource implications, coordinate inter-project dependencies including equipment and resource allocation.
  • Establish process to receive regular updates to the Work Stream schedules and incorporate into master schedule.
  • Assist the Project Managers in creating short-term schedules, monitoring such schedules to determine impact on master schedule.
  • Prepare schedule status reporting and assist in validating and tracking project delivery activities, prepare and issue proposal and preliminary schedule information.
  • Identify potential gaps or obstacles that may comprise the success of projects and present appropriate strategies to overcome barriers and provide governance over project-related scheduling and resource decisions.
  • Create and maintain program plans and present to program and executive committees, maintain related documents and systems.

Essential requirements:

  • Advanced skills in MS Project.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Previously worked at a portfolio capacity.
  • Experience managing large programs with 18'000-20'000 lines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in project management framework and governance.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Previous experience working within a large/complex environment.
  • High level problem solving, time management and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adaptively.
