... About the role
The Marketing and Communications Specialist position sits within the universities centralised marketing, communications and admissions division and will report to the Manager, Marketing Strategy and Communications. You will be responsible for coordinating and executing marketing and communications activities to support the University’s student employability program. You will also create and deliver content to support audience engagement and conversion activities across a range of channels - including email, web, social media, paid advertising and print. The position will maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders across the University and external partners, to meet all business objectives.
Key responsibilities:
- Undertake a range of tasks associated with the development and implementation of highly targeted communications and marketing campaigns to support the engagement and conversion of key audiences to the employability program.
- Plan, create and deliver targeted and timely content that is aligned to key events across a range of formats, informed by an audience-centric communications approach.
- Effectively use email marketing platforms and digital conversion activity to drive engagement and support an integrated marcomms plan.
- Build and sustain cooperative and productive relationships with a wide range of colleagues, internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure optimal value and results for the university.
- Provide insights, data and content for briefs, reports and presentations to inform decision making and provide timely updates on progress.
- Ensure consistent application of the universities brand in all communications and campaigns, channels and platforms.
About you:
- Around 4 years experience in the development and coordination of marketing and communications projects and campaigns, including project management, content creation and liaison with key team members/channel owners.
- Experience working with digital marketing platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Squiz and/or similar platforms.
- Highly developed relationship management skills, including the ability to interact with, and gain cooperation from internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
- Demonstrated ability autonomously and cooperatively in a team environment and foster a culture of focused continuous improvement.
- Higher Education industry experience is highly favourable.
