ASC is Australia’s submarine company. We built the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats’ service lives. We have also been selected by the Australian Government to sustain and jointly build the nation’s nuclear-powered submarines - the largest and most complex industrial undertaking in Australia’s history.
Reporting to the General Manager Stakeholder Relations, the Manager Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is accountable for evaluating and understanding the societal and community impacts of ASC’s environmental policies, responsibilities and reputation, developing a Corporate and Social Responsibility strategy and integrating the external CSR strategy across the business.
Role & Responsibilities
... - Develop and execute ASC’s CSR strategy.
- Lead the CSR function.
- Contribute to the facilitation of ASC’s social license strategy.
- Develop education programs to be executed externally to raise awareness of ASC’s CSR activities.
- Lead and facilitate CSR and community engagement events.
- Align activities with ASC’s corporate strategy assisting ASC to meet any contractual deliverables.
- Work with the Stakeholder Relations leadership team and ExCo to maintain a strategic perspective of the entire business and take into account a wide range of longer-term issues, opportunities and risks to ensure ongoing business success.
- Report on CSR function performance and compliance.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing CSR or equivalent in a senior role in a large, corporate organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder and community engagement and consulting with a diverse range or relevant stakeholders.
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build interpersonal relationships internally and external to the business.
- Demonstrated experience upholding high ethical standards and integrity.

This role requires Australian citizenship, a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
