The opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to work for a NFP organisation which is passionately and successfully making a difference to the prevention of HIV, sexually transmitted infections and blood borne viruses, and the treatment and care of people living with HIV and AIDS.

The role

The Manager of Clinical and Support Services, is part of the executive team which provides leadership and supervision to both the Practice Manager and Team Leader; to manage resources and maintain & develop systems and process for the delivery of safe and high quality services required by clients.

  • Provide strong leadership and supervision of two teams (Clinical and Support)
  • Ensure contractual obligations and KPI’s are being met
  • Collaborate with Team Leaders to foster a positive workplace culture
  • Maintain high quality service delivery
  • Oversee quality assurance through clinical audit, clinical governance and service reviews
  • Collaborate with and report to the CEO in developing the future direction of the Client Services
  • Budget management and cost effectiveness of operations
  • Stay informed about current issues, research and trends in the HIV, sexual health, BBV and LGBTQI+ health sectors
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders from community, other non-profits, primary health care providers, research bodies and government bodies


  • An appropriate tertiary qualification in Nursing / social work / psychology
  • Three years’ experience in a management role leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Understanding of public health or health promotion in a community- based organization
  • A current Driver’s License
  • A current National Police Clearance
  • Desirable: Have an understanding of sexual health and blood-borne viruses
