Well know food manufacturer in Smithfield seeking an Electrical Supervisor to join the team as soon as possible. Ideally seeking 5 years within an FMCG manufacturing environment, strong leadership skills and the ability to improve processes.

Located in Smithfield, this highly successful manufacturer of food products is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to join the team.

The role will be a standard Mon - Fri 7:00am - 3:00pm role however work outside of these hours will be required from time to time for projects or shutdowns. Time in lieu will be paid for these extra hours.

The role will be supervising 6 electricians over all shifts and demonstrated strong leadership skills are being sought.

The Maintenance Electrical Supervisor is responsible for managing maintenance resources, to service the electrical needs of operations and the site. More broadly, this role is responsible for improving the sites electrical standards, supporting continuous improvement initiatives whilst maintaining WHS and quality standards, assisting int he management of maintenance costs within budget, utilising the PM system to maintain and improve the reliability of production equipment and completing purchase orders for materials and parts required to ensure production needs are met.

The role will have overview of Safety, Quality / GMP, Leadership, Coaching and Team Interaction, Work Planning and Execution, Reporting and Audits,managing a team of 6 direct reports, a significant project portfolio and a continuous improvement focus.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Electrical trade background
  • Tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years previous experience in FMCG, food and beverage or other relevant manufacturing environments
  • Previous experience leading a team
  • Complex problem solving ability
  • Continuous improvement / lean focus

This is a pivotal role in the business and 2-3 interviews as well as psychometric tests, medicals and police checks will be part of the interview process.
