job description

Seeking an experienced machine operator with a forklift licence for a steel manufacturing client located in South East VIC.

Role details:

  • $37 per hour
  • Afternoon shift 2pm - 10pm
  • Knoxfield Location

To be successful for this role, you must possess the following skills:

  • Solid machine operating experience (steel manufacturing preferred)
  • Forklift licence (essential)
  • Mechanically minded
  • Experience operating an overhead crane is advantageous
  • Experience in a physically demanding environment
  • Hand and power tool experience preferable
  • Be able to work in a team environment
  • Be motivated, engaged and reliable
  • Proactive
  • Safety orientated
  • MUST be able to train on 10am - 6pm shift for your first week

Your role will involve, but is not limited to:

  • Fast paced machine operation
  • Trouble shooting mechanical issues
  • Loading and unloading machines with forklift
  • Use of an over-head crane
  • Meeting daily production and quality targets
  • Shrink wrapping and packing
  • General cleaning and manual handling duties
  • Follow all work instructions and policies
  • Quality control and assurance
