job description

Our client is a market leader in its industry sector, supplying both the Australian and Global Markets. With the State-of-the-Art automated high-volume production processes they continue to expand its diverse product range across industry in both local and prestigious international markets.

Due to our continued growth we a looking for a hand on Logistics Officer to join our Logistics team.

Candidates must be able to:

  • Ensure castings are dispatched according to customer requirements for quantity, quality and delivery, achieving DIFOT of 100% or as close as possible.
  • Assist products being scheduled to achieve optimum Plant performance and the customers required by date.
  • Liaise with sub-contractors to determine lead times such that scheduling can be performed to achieve the required delivery date.
  • Support all mobile equipment being maintained and repaired for their safe operation.
  • Liaise with transport companies regarding outgoing and incoming goods on specialised computer logistics computer systems.
  • Schedule purchasing of casting containers e.g. drums, boxes, pallets and consumables required to ensure dispatching is not affected.
  • Ensure correct and accurate labelling of outgoing product.
  • Checking of goods with accurate and timely documentation of all incoming goods through dispatch.
  • Act as backup for Logistics Coordinator in their absence.
  • Drive a forklift and operate weigh station as required.
