Role – Linux Systems Engineer

Location: Sydney Central

Duration: 6 Months + Extension

Rate guide: Competitive Day Rate – Please call to discuss

This role is to design, build, support and manage corporate systems in a Linux and VMware based private cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Engineer system builds, upgrades and large-scale system integrations to documented standards.
Develop written procedures and other technical documentation to support effective implementation.
Deliver technical consulting and subject matter expertise to technological solution projects, including pre project to ensure risks, interdependencies and exceptions are identified, mitigated or escalated.
Understand and improve business processes and procedures related to implementation and maintenance of Linux based systems.

Key Challenges:

Rapidly designing and deploying cloud and virtualised server solutions in a large-scale, complex, multi-platform, geographically dispersed and constantly changing environment.
Interpreting high level architectural design to build reliable, functional Linux based systems in a complex and secure environment.
