The Opportunity:

  • We are seeking a temporary APS 5 - Project Officer to help move the Library & Records divisions of a Federal Government Agency from Lindfield / Gordon to North Ryde; including both the planning & execution phase.
  • To start 1st May for a period of 6 months (approx.) working 37.5 hours per week (Mon to Fri) paying $40-45ph + super.
  • You will be working predominately from the Lindfield office (parking is available).

The Role:

  • The Project Officer would be primarily focussed on the Library transition tasks as the priority, with the high possibility of later involvement in the Records space as needed.
  • The Project Officer will be required to support the wider team with a variety of administrative tasks through a significant period of change to both the physical set up and digital transition of processes across multiple sites, including records mgmt using TRIM CM9.
  • Project tasks will include preparation for the Library audit and transition of the physical collection from its current premises at Lindfield to North Ryde.
  • Assisting key laboratories with recordkeeping audits as they transfer operations to a consolidated area at the Lindfield site.

Criteria:

The successful candidate will:

  • Have some experience in either Library and/or Records Management based work (highly desirable).
  • Be required to manually handle boxes, documents and books (up to 16kg).
  • Need to complete a national police check.
  • Already have/willing to attain/maintain a Baseline Security Clearance (in depth police check).
