Working for the local council, you will manage property leasing operations for land, reserves and buildings owned or managed by the council. Your duties will include:

  • Negotiate leases and licences for land, reserves and buildings in accordance with legislative requirements;
  • Provide expert advice in respect of leasing matters;
  • Draft and review lease documentation;
  • Prepare and present reports on the lease portfolio including annual compliance reporting;
  • Develop, review and update pro forma leases and licences;
  • Oversee the Approval in Principle process for tenant alterations and works.

You will need to have the following skills to be successful in this role:

  • Experience in a similar position, with applied understanding of leasing management for local government;
  • Confidence in negotiating lease agreements and related matters;
  • Applied understanding of the political, social and legal environment and organisational context of Council;
  • Knowledge of property market conditions
  • Experience in inspecting properties to identify faults, features and wants of repair.

This is a temporary position, starting ASAP until initially mid-December.
