Learning Enhancement Teacher

Are you a Learning Enhancement teacher with a background in Special Education, Inclusive Education or something similar? Do you love assisting students in a way a general classroom teacher is unable to do so and are you not afraid of challenging yourself with PLP’s, behaviour management and creating meaningful learning environments?

In this role the Learning Enhancement Teacher will work in partnership with students, classroom teachers, parents, special needs teachers, health professionals, outside agencies, Head of Departments and the Leadership Team, to identify a collaborative approach to implement support for students with additional learning needs

About the role

  • Full time, permanent ongoing, start term 2.
  • Operate under the direction of the Deputy Principal Secondary
  • Plan and prepare teaching and learning programs in your nominated area which meet the divers characteristics, needs and learning styles of students; and are consistent with relevant syllabi, curriculum policies, work programs and education trends
  • Work in collaborative partnerships on the development of inclusive practices and appropriate learning outcomes for students.
  • Teach, supervise, observe, engage and advise students in small groups, PLP’s of individuals or allocated class

About you

You:

  • Are an Australian Citizen or Resident with valid work rights
  • Have a valid current registration with QCT
  • Have proven experience in special education, inclusive education or similar
  • Have a proven track record of successful intervention with students with additional learning needs
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
