    A reputable name in the energy sector, this organization employs industry experts and professionals. This is a rare opportunity to join an EPC organization, with a strong pipeline of projects as a Lead Electrical Engineer to be accountable for the delivery of design requirements and service the allocated projects.


    Key elements of the role:

    • Deliver professional electrical engineering work in the planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of renewable energy power projects.
    • Plan and assign the modification of electrical drawings such as single line diagrams, protection diagrams, control panel schematics, communication and control systems using SCADA, PLC and HMI using Modbus protocols eview engineering designs from other engineers against established quality guidelines.
    • Undertake protection studies, load flow and fault studies by using appropriate power systems analysis software.
    • Compile relevant design documentation including design calculations of earthing and protection systems and cable sizing.
    • Perform relay and fuse coordination studies and develop protection setting and parameter files.
    • Prepare Scopes of Work and tender packs, equipment specifications and selections, data sheets and instrumentation setting sheets.
    • Design and selection of primary electrical plant including HV switchgear, Transformers and HV Cables and the design and selection of secondary systems including CTs, VTs, protection devices and tariff metering

    The suitable candidate will possess the following:

    • Degree in Electrical Engineering
    • Strong analytical skills for the use in interpreting and calculating data
    • Ability to mentor in fault analysis and protection system design
    • Subject matter expert in LV circuit design, switchgear and control systems
    • Subject matter expert in HV circuits and infrastructure
    • Possess a working knowledge of AutoCAD and ability to produce and interpret electrical drawings
    • Self-motivated to provide regular contact with project managers in Project
    • Planning and document management
    • Subject matter expert of relevant Australian Standards and Codes of Practice applicable to the industry
    • Exceptional problem solving and multi-tasking skills, critical thinking
    • Knowledge of hazardous area requirements and applicable Australian standards and codes
    • Knowledge of OHS requirements applicable to the electrical industry, and adherence to corporate policies and procedures
    • Self-disciplined and able to work autonomously
    • Sound communicator with strong leadership skills
    • Drivers License (Essential)
