We are proud to be partnering with the South Australian government in sourcing a Laboratory Technician to support a major programme of work.
The role:
The primary responsibility of the role is to screen insect samples and identify specimens in accordance with timelines and quality standards set by national protocol. In addition, the role requires the maintenance of clear records and data entry.
Key responsibilities:
- Screening samples under the microscope
- Sample preparation
- Data entry
- Basic molecular testing
- Sample storage
- Maintenance of records
Requirements:
- Experience in Microscopy
- Basic Laboratory Training
- Good understanding of Standard Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word)
- Training in molecular biology or entomology (highly desirable)
- Australian driving license (preferable)
- Full working rights in Australia
