Marion Outdoor Pool is amidst the transformation of its 44 year old pool into the biggest outdoor water park in Southern Adelaide.

Are you an experienced Kitchen Hand looking for casual work over the summer break? We are currently looking to employ multiple Kiosk Assistants to join the fun and friendly Marion Outdoor Pool family.

Randstad are now recruiting for the Marion Outdoor Pool and are seeking applications from experienced Kiosk Assistants for the upcoming season (October 2020 – April 2021).

Kiosk Assistants are an integral part of the team and help to support the Kiosk Coordinator by providing a high level of customer service to all patrons, be able to multi task and communicate effectively and appropriately. You will have proven experience in the ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team, show an ability to demonstrate initiative whilst always maintaining a positive attitude and preserving an enjoyable and safe environment.

As a Kiosk Assistant you are required to work both front of house customer service as well as in a functioning kiosk.

Your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Previous experience in kitchen hand/food preparation
  • Food preparation experience
  • Short order cooking experience
  • Food safety knowledge and adherence to HACCP guidelines
  • Cash handling

About You:

  • 12 months + in hospitality industry
  • Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment
  • Motivated team player, excellent work ethic, enthusiastic and operates with initiative
  • Flexible, reliable and adaptable experienced in working within a busy environment.
  • Safe food handling practices
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • MUST be able to work unsupervised and in a team environment

Kiosk Assistants are required to possess the following:

  • DCSI Clearance, Child Related Employment Screening
  • Child Safe Environments Certificate (Responding to Abuse and Neglect)
  • Barista Certificate
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • HACCP Trained

To be successful in securing a position, you will hold all of the above certificates, or be willing to obtain copies prior to the induction training. You will be available and flexible with shifts throughout the season, you will be personable, approachable and you will have a strong work ethic.

As the Centre operates throughout the October to April period, Kiosk Attendants are expected to be available for a variety of shifts within the operating hours of the facility. The opening hours of the pool are listed below:

  • Monday to Friday: 6am - 8pm
  • Saturday: 7am - 6pm
  • Sunday: 8am - 6pm
  • Public Holidays: 11am - 5pm

These positions are casual and rostered hours will depend on your work ethic, availability and the weather. We are ideally seeking candidates who are fully available over the school holidays including the Christmas and New Year break.
