job description

We are currently seeking applications from experienced electricians/owner-operators who are looking for a project management entry point. These roles are essentially junior project managers and will focus on new connections and asset replacements to the distribution network across South Australia. We currently have two vacancies within the Adelaide Metro Region. This role will commence as a 12 Month casual contract with a local utility company.

The Junior Project Manager is accountable for determining customer requirements and the reliable and efficient scoping of both major and minor distribution systems projects. The Network Project Officer is to provide support to the customer Solution Manager and Network Manager for customer connection and asset

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide advice to internal / external customers in relation to customer connections activities
  • Prepare customer offers for internal approval and delivery to the customer
  • Conduct project management activities including design, scoping, liaising with construction crews and other internal and external parties, financial management, and all associated project governance requirements
  • Analyse and date reports for customer connection and network refurbishment projects
  • Prepare estimates/drawings for internally raised projects
  • Prepare project documentation for planning and construction of projects

About you:

  • Completion of an Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Ideally, come from the tools - former business owner or managed projects
  • Experience in Urban development projects, solar or electrical infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated experience working/liaising with SA Power Networks
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Current driver's license
