We are currently seeking applications from Junior Project Managers for a 12-month contract role with a power utility company based in Adelaide. The client is offering first-class training and mentoring.

Working for the asset owner; these roles are a unique opportunity for either a Project Engineer who is ready to take their career to the next level; or a Junior Project Manager with experience in managing small to medium-sized projects.


  • Lead the delivery and management of projects on behalf of clients, having established clear, agreed goals and success criteria.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Take responsibility for executing end-to-end all aspects of assigned projects within the prescribed framework.
  • Shadowing and mentoring from senior management
  • Project pipeline – own, manage, and drive this in an independent capacity.
  • Managing the project queue and inbox using the clients’ inhouse contract and ticketing application
  • Assist with resource allocation, scheduling, budget management, procurement etc
  • Administrative tasks such as Billing and submitting carrier orders
  • Risk/Issue Management – help establish a process for better risk management and mitigation, both at a project level and within the PMO
  • Ensure that PMO is running to budget and achieving ROI targets

About you:

  • Experience in a similar role or demonstrated experience working as an engineer (1 to 3 years).
  • Foster positive communications and relationships with team members, vendors, and clients
  • Professional and motivated self-starter
  • Well organised with an ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional team player with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to embrace and learn new technologies
  • Ability to resolve issues & handle conflicting priorities in a dynamic fast-paced environment
  • Valid driving licence
  • Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/Power or Telecommunication.
  • Some out of hours work may be required
