About the Role

In the role of a State Manager for the Accounting & Finance division, your core focus will be your people - you will be passionate and creative in how you recruit, train and develop a team of consultants. You will lead from the front, with your people, clients and candidates ensuring a highly professional offering to market and strong steering to ensure we deliver exceptional results.

Key responsibilities

As the State Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of the Accounting & Finance business strategy through communication with your team and running profitable operations that focus on both client acquisition and management.

You will lead the growth and success of your team by actively engaging with current and potential clients of Randstad and ensuring the effective delivery of client solutions across your region. This includes strategic account management to maximise profitability, cross-selling and mapping market opportunities.

• Developing, engaging, coaching and supporting a wonderful team of consultants
• Providing leadership in business development and client acquisition
• Driving sales activities in existing and future markets
• Training and developing the team to reach their full potential
• Preparation of weekly sales reports and regular forecasts
• Ensure contractual requirements are adhered to

What you will need to succeed

We are looking for a driven, ambitious State Manager who is passionate about delivering the best service to partner with both candidates and clients in a consultative style. You'll have a can-do and positive outlook and be able to successfully work with senior client stakeholders.

• Have proven success recruiting in the Accounting & Finance service space (preferred but not essential)
• Be a great people leader, especially in coaching and developing people to be at their best
• Strategically minded with proven capability in executing on a business plan
• Previous sales or BD experience is a must
• Advanced communication skills with high ability to negotiate with clients and candidates
• Outcome oriented
• Independent person with good organisation skills
• Resilient and tenacious
