My client has expanded rapidly through strategic transformation of business objectives and is now seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Procurement Manager to be a part of their high performing and exciting team.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to an inspirational Strategic Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of strategic procurement; managing end-to-end delivery, providing expert advice, negotiations, and deployment of complex procurement/commercial activities. Predominantly required to provide high quality sourcing and category management function across a varied portfolio (direct & indirect). This is an initial temporary role for 6 months (view to permanency). Your main responsibilities will be but aren’t limited to:
- Manage and coordinate a range of procurement activities (complex tendering) and negotiations
- Analysing and interpreting categorised data
- Ability to engage and identify relevant stakeholders
- Identify an array of risk, issues, opportunities and deliverables
- Manage and report project progress and post-implementation reviews (documentation and reports)
- Provide strategic advice against savings target
- Develop complex implementation and contract management plans for strong post-procurement framework
- Develop strong budget management (delivery of project outcomes)
- Preparation and presentation of briefings, reports and business cases for senior management/stakeholders
- Provide outcomes in order to achieve cost savings, risk reduction, and increased value of money through strategic procurement capability
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve controls
- Ad hoc tasks or duties as required by the Strategic Procurement Manager
Ideal Profile
- 5-10 years work experience within area of procurement
- MCIPS qualified (desirable not mandatory)
- Proven commercial and procurement experience within large scale organisation
- Experience in Tenderlink, Coupa and Lex softwares (desirable not mandatory)
- High level negotiation skills
- Exceptional stakeholder management experience
- Excellent analytical, evaluation and research skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate and articulate complex issues well within the team and to other stakeholders
- Excellent rapport building skills
- Superlative time management skills to prioritize and plan workloads to meet deadlines
- High level business acumen
- Able to work independently and within a team environment
