Behaviour Support Practitioners will work in collaboration with our allied health teams and senior clinicians to deliver a high quality and reputable service to our clients and partner organisations around behaviour support Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners have clinical backgrounds in mental health and wellbeing and have all completed additional training in behaviour analysis and the management of complex behaviour. A Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner will develop individualised behaviour management plans that meet the needs of clients, the disability support team and meets NDIS legislative requirements. A Behaviour Support Practitioner must have experience in: • Conducting functional behavioural assessments • Creating interim and comprehensive behaviour support plans• Supporting NDIS plan reviews • Developing behaviour support plans • Training, mentoring and supporting other therapists in positive behavioural support techniques. Requirements: • A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Applied Behaviour Analysis or Allied Health (Social Work, Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy) with relevant professional registration/membership • NDIS Behaviour Support experience • Working knowledge of authorisation and reporting requirements for restrictive practices relevant to state or territory laws and policies • Experience in conducting comprehensive behaviour assessments, and implementing and evaluating behaviour support plans, including restrictive practice • Up to date knowledge of the regulatory context and evidence-based practice • Strong commitment to principles of enhancing independence and client empowerment • Demonstrated ability to work with people effectively, both as individuals and in groups, to obtain commitment and achieve results • Passion for positive behaviour support practice • Current drivers licence and registered vehicle.
