POSITION TITLE: Integration Technician / Aircraft Engineer REPORTING TO: Operations Manager Purpose: To be part of the integration team in the integration of high-quality components vital to their success. Ensuring effective communication with all team members to ensure duties are performed to the highest standards in an efficient and timely manner whilst adhering to production schedules, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities: The responsibilities listed are not exhaustive, they represent examples of the work performed by this position. To carry out assignments associated with assembly and test of rocket parts, components, and interfaces for electronic and mechanical systemsAssist in testing hardware using written procedures and or work instructionsAssist in the preparation of technical reports as requiredEvaluate and understand all engineering (CAD) drawings, verifying dimensions and ensure implementation according to specificationsEnsure all parts are properly aligned and fitted in accordance with specificationsEnsure quality control standards are always adhered toCoordinate with team members in solving technical problems as they ariseTo communicate with all managers and team members to ensure positive working relationships and adherence to the daily operational requirementAbility to accommodate off-hours work, as necessary, during certain build phasesOther duties as requested by ManagementMinimum Qualifications Trade qualification in Engineering (Fitting, Aviation or Automotive)5+ years of industry experienceSkills and Experience Large assembly integration experience mandatoryStrong Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with the proper usage of hand tools & power toolsExperience in aircraft/aerospace assembly desirableProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsProblem Solving Due to the research and development nature of business the incumbent will be faced with the challenge of operating in a dynamic environment. The incumbent must be sensitive to cultural team diversities and Technologies requirements when resolving situations that demand solutions. Performance Standards Performance of all duties in a timely and efficient manner, whilst following established company policy and projecting a favorable image to achieve objectives, public recognition, and acceptance. Performance expectations and indicators generally will be defined on an annual basis. A formal performance appraisal will be conducted annually or as determined by the Manager. Workplace Health and Safety Disseminate Workplace Health and Safety information to staff relevant to the specific work areaImmediately advising the Risk, Health and Safety Officer of issues relating to WHS in their department and to continually review and make recommendations on ways in which can improve WHS within their departmentEnsuring all incidents / accidents are recorded and reported and that feedback on actions taken is communicated to employees in their department.Ensuring implementation of corrective action arising from accident/incident or hazard reporting and monitoring to ensure effectiveness.Facilitate consultative processes regarding Workplace health and safety issues between management and staffParticipating in and monitoring of risk assessments, hazard evaluation and implementation of hazard control measures within their work area as requiredActively being involved with and promoting a clean and safe working environmentFor more information please apply directly to this role.
