Company Overview

This an exciting opportunity for an experienced financial service people leader to join a well respected fintech company and lead their newly created Investor Services team. With offices established in New Zealand, Europe and Asia they are expanding into Melbourne and are looking for a driven, knowledgeable and passionate people leader to join them on this journey. This is a truly unique opportunity to join a company as it is being established and help set up the team you will be managing.

This role will see you leading the investor operations department made up of x4-6 team members, providing support, coaching and acting as a point of contact for escalations. To be successful in this role you will have a strong background in people leadership and management, knowledge across wealth operations and a passion for success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the investment operation functions across the investor operations department
  • Lead, coach and develop the department to create a high performing culture
  • Act as a point of contact for escalations, support and guidance
  • Manage staff performance reviews
  • Identify and implement further training opportunities for the department
  • Streamline processes for the operations key functions
  • Maintain and update the policy and procedure manual for the investor operations department
  • Build strong internal and external working relationships
  • Adhere to the companies Compliance, Risk and HR policies
  • Maintain up to date knowledge across relevant legislative requirements

Selection criteria

  • 3 years +experience managing a team within financial services
  • Strong working knowledge across investment operations is essential
  • Demonstrated strong people management leadership experience
  • Previous experience in mentoring and performance management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded
