job description

An exciting internal communications specialist role is required in the coming weeks for a notable government agency. This lead role will develop and deliver on internal communications strategies using channels which are effective and engaging with a strong focus on digital communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for obtaining information and managing key stakeholders
  • Lead, develop and implement an internal communications strategy with effective plans and campaigns to engage employees through the use of digital channels
  • Write, edit and distribute content such as speeches, staff newsletters, corporate messages and CEO communications
  • assisting marketing team as required

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in area of communications, public relations, media studies or related field
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of the public sector
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to obtain, write and edit communications
  • Demonstrated experience in utilising various content management systems, including strong digital and online communications skills
