job description

We are currently recruting for a global business who are embarking on a number of new major projects throughout 2021 and beyond. A leader in their field, they are looking to strengthen their plant manufacturing team by recruting an Interim Finance Business Partner to support the plant team with the increased workload this year.


We are searching for an experienced Finance Business Partner with a strong background in product costing and inventory management experience who can work across a wide brief.

You will be responsible for:

  • Development of a strong financial control framework
  • Working with manufacturing leads & supply chain to establish BOM’s, recipes and recovery assumptions
  • Executing the product costing runs and understanding the requirements for full commercial scale up across the business.
  • Sub-Contracting costs
  • Working with relevant functions to ensure 100% compliance on time /recording for the project and reconcile back to forecasts
  • Managing the variance accounting & analytics
  • Working with tax and supply chain to establish the transfer price model and trade routes
  • Inventory management and reporting at net group costs
  • Proactively dealing with all audit requirements and deliverables
  • Leading the ongoing improvements to drive robustness on production costing assumptions
  • Capex / Projects support including budgeting and forecasting
  • Drive desk-top self-serve cost centre reporting for functions and move to dashboard reporting
  • Monthly analysis and business partner support to the other functions e.g. Tech Services/PMO
  • Inventory management for budgeting & forecasting for special programmes

To suit this position you will be a qualified accountant with demonstrable experience within a manufacturing plant, ideally having used SAP previously. You will be happy diving deep into the detail around transactions and will have an excellent knodledge of data analysis and forecasting. You will have a working kniwledge of inventory management and supply chain principles with an analytical mind. Experience of working in a global manufacturing business (especially pharma/healthcare related) is a distinct advantage.
