Your new Department

Our client is a large Federal Government Department that is responsible for managing and shaping the taxation and superannuation system for all Australians.

Your new Team

We are looking for dedicated and motivated Instructional Designers to join the Instructional Design Team within the Small Business Education, Prevention and Support area.

The Small Business Education, Prevention and Support area has a significant role in building community engagement through supporting and providing education to small business.

The team deliver this support through multi delivery methods such as workshops, webinars & online learning.

Your new role

We are looking for an Instructional Designer who, with direction, assist with the development and delivery of a diverse range of projects. Any Graphic Design experience will be looked on very favourably.

About your role

You will have:

  • experience in instructional design
  • experience in graphic design and development (highly regarded)
  • demonstrated skills and experience using design tools such as HTML5 and Adobe Design Suite
  • well developed communication skills, both written and verbal, to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • proficiency in project management and the ability to proactively manage your own workflow to deliver within established timelines
  • the ability to maintain contemporary knowledge of emerging technology and design principles, as a basis for the design and development of adult learning resources
  • sound organisational skills, detail oriented with a strong work ethic, openness to new ideas and creative approaches to problem solving
  • the ability to monitor feedback from key stakeholders on design and delivery of adult education resources to ensure continuous improvement is in place

Qualifications/Portfolio

  • a Certificate IV (or above) in Training and Assessment and/or Adult Education will be highly regarded.
  • A portfolio of prior works will be required

  • Must be an Australia Citizen
  • Have the ability to undergo and pass baseline security checks
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Meticulous with detail and ability to multitask
