Dealing assistants are responsible for supporting the Private and Corporate dealing teams in managing the day-to-day transactional requirements of clients ensuring high levels of service through administrative excellence.

What you’ll do:

  • Deal with client queries and requests e.g. request from a client to draw down from a forward contract and sending automatic confirmations
  • Inbound sales - following leads
  • Add beneficiary details (payees) on behalf of clients and setting up onward payments where appropriate
  • Book exotic currency deals requested by clients
  • Work directly with the Head of Dealing and Client Relations in the development and roll out of special projects
  • Build daily lists for the dealing desks (overdue clients, credits on account etc.)
  • Liaise with other departments within the company to ensure a smooth client journey from start to finish e.g. Operations team regarding payment queries
  • General administration tasks, including but not limited to; handling overflow telephone calls, allocating payments, managing various spreadsheets for the team, preparing introductory packs for new members of the team
  • Researching and organising team events
  • Performing market research on what factors are impacting FX markets and scripting templates to update our client book accordingly
  • Management of client gifts and contact packs
  • Liaising with sales team to build tailored presentations for meetings

Who you are:

  • You’ll be able to demonstrate strong communication skills through building mutually beneficial relationships both internally and externally and the ability to engage openly with people at all levels including senior level decision makers
  • You’ll demonstrate effective time management and work organisation; engages in conversations with their colleagues to challenge priorities and agree a way forward effectively
  • You’ll identify what data is required to answer a given question about the business, and asks for help if they are unsure
  • You’ll provide colleagues with information, data and advice to help them exercise sound judgement for the benefit of World First
  • You’ll have experience in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel software
  • You’ll have good numerical skills
  • Bilingual speaking (Chinese), preferred but not vital
