About our client

This Victorian State Government Department provides support to the Victorian region ensuring the appropriate services respond quickly and effectively when incidents are reported.

Providing a supportive and inclusive culture having relocated from the South Eastern suburbs to Melbourne CBD, this is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience to join this newly created team.

About the role

Reporting into the Control Room Manager, you will be responsible for responding to security related issues which are reported at key department institutions. This role is offered working on a rotating roster 7 days per week between the hours of 07.00 - 15.00 , 15.00 - 23.00 , 23.00 - 07.00.

Responsibilities include;

  • Interpret alarm activation's and use initiative to dispatch security services
  • Provide professional and timely advice to stakeholders including; emergency services, contractors and suppliers
  • Enter incidents into the departments database
  • Respond and coordinate alarm activation's in a timely and effective manner
  • Take note of accurate details of incident occurring and log activity

About you

You will be a customer focused individual who has previous experience working within incident response, security of control room environment and is committed to providing a high level of service at all time.

Ideally we are looking for someone who possesses the following skills;

  • Sound working on knowlegde of intruder detection systems and alarm monitoring software is desirable
  • Great problem solving and organisation skills
  • Clear and concise communication
  • Strong stakeholder engagement
  • Strong team player
