About the roleWork closely with the Operational Team to manage workload and operational planning andmanifesting.Manage incoming customer bookings incoming from the customer, create Sales Orders to processshipments/Loads. Manage the PUD and Subcontractor booking and maintenance system, ensuring that all theallocator details for the carriers are updated for FTP against the manifest.Manifest the driver loads in SAP.Manifest all Bookings and plan for boxes to be moved Customer RelationshipWorking collaboratively with our customer to ensure delays and/or service issues are communicatedproactively and to the business.Supporting innovation and supporting best outcomes for our customer, includingrelationship management/stakeholder management at the customer sitesEnsure all deliveries/pick-ups are performed efficiently and on-schedule, specific customer requests orconcerns are reported and communicated, this includes documenting and communicate any routingdelays which may include actual follow confirmation of departures or deliveries.Take a proactive approach to customer relationship management and representation in the highestprofessional and ethical manner. Accountabilities and Key Result Areas Regularly liaising with drivers, loading staff, and customers to resolve issues promptly and effectively.Understanding of System driven operational planning and optimisationLoad Plan, Load optimise and executes transport services using the DFN system, making sure that the customer and company requirements are met.Ensure minimal work is done outside the new DFN TMS, reducing leakage and paper trail/footprint.Ensure that all loads have been planned, loaded delivered, and closed out for invoicing.Ensuring that all PUD related matters are closed out ready for Fit to Pay (FTP)Being organised, detail-oriented, and prioritising tasks for completing in a timely manner.Enjoying people interaction, caring about & producing high-quality outcomes.Being flexible in adapting to unexpected changes and adjustments.Be able to demonstrate with data the position of the issues “not yet closed out” to management before the weekly calls.Maintain effective customer engagement as well as engagement with our 3rd party operator. Qualifications and Experience5+ years operational experience in a complex logistics environmentIdeally a qualification in Logistics Management or equivalent amount of experience in the field of operational logistics management.Experience in Load optimising, Planning and Executing shipments in a TMS/ERP systemKnowledge and experience of industrial truck and trailer configurations.Experience in managing operational efficiency using an end-to-end TMS.Strong transport/Rail background or similar experience in a planning and allocation role.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to interpret data and effectively communicate issues in the logistics network and fixing/clear out the issues daily.A good understanding of using systems and running reports. Ability to reconcile data and have an understanding on the downstream impacts of operations on financials.Good computer skills and experience working with Transport Management Systems.Ability and preparedness to develop skills utilising existing and emerging technology Demonstrate ability to prioritise and work under pressure whilst achieving deadlines.Able to multi-task, share team responsibilities to maintain maximum monitoring level of prompt, efficient and courteous customer service.Flexible and accountable approach to work commitments operating effectively in a team environment as well as independently.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail and accuracy.To be successful in this role you will have the following key attributes:Reliability and accountability – e.g. ensure deadlines are achieved, within agreed operational timelines (such as safety and compliance summary, payroll information, Open items in DFN).Flexibility – e.g. provide effective support for other operational supervisors in day-to-day activities and preparedness to offer relief when required, if a team member is away.Initiative – Going above and beyond base expectations with a supportive and positive mindset.Good corporate citizenship aligned with values.Active participation in training when required.To apply for this position or any other current roles we are working on please submit a recent resume via seek.
