Join this Australian EPC who specialises in providing project engineering and construction services for Utility Projects across Australia. Having a long term presence in the industry, a national presence and a loyal client base across Australia, they have extensive experience in delivering turnkey solutions to a wide range of both major and minor infrastructure projects. They boast one of the largest and most experienced multi-disciplined engineering teams across the country - out of Adelaide.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the HV Electrical Estimator will be responsible for the effective delivery of electrical estimating services through the professional preparation, competitive pricing and on-time delivery of tenders to maximize the probability of securing profitable Electrical Service and Construction Project. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring that each tender is based on appropriate construction methods, is technically and numerically correct and adequate provision is made for both direct and indirect resources
  • Work effectively with project delivery team to hand over project and all aspects of the project are explained
  • Reviewing and comparing contract documentation and the terms of the award against the tender documents and the basis of the tender submission
  • Briefing the project team to ensure that the tender fundamental principles and details are understood by the Project Team and are transferred to the construction phase of the project including all WHS aspects
  • Utilizing systems and processes to enable the professional preparation of tenders
  • Monitoring and reporting on the cost planning of design development
  • Creating and maintaining strong relationships and clear lines of communication with key stakeholders, proposed construction teams, potential clients and existing clients
  • Responding accurately and in a timely manner to client/proposed construction team queries regarding the content of the tender submission.

Special Skills and Knowledge

  • Tertiary studies in Electrical or other related disciplines
  • 5 years plus experience as an electrical estimator in a project related or construction business
  • Significant industry knowledge of renewables, power generation and utilities
  • Proven experience in planning and scheduling estimates
  • Project management skills
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
