job description

Responsible for the full range of HR responsibilities in the region which will include management of learning and development, recruitment, performance, employee relations and internal communications. The company’s operations in this region are growing significantly, therefore this is an excellent opportunity for a driven and proactive individual to take on new challenges and assist the management with the growth and change in the business.

Duties will include:

  • Performance management – ensure that annual and interim performance reviews take place, agree follow up outcomes and ensure they are actioned.
  • Learning and development – take a proactive approach to follow up on any learning and development needs identified as part of the personal review process. Work with managers to plan training in advance ensuring that skills are kept up to date in line with business needs. Manage the mentoring programme locally.
  • Competency Framework – ensure that this is fully embedded across the Aus teams and that managers know how to assess their people against it.
  • Management of recruitment as a mentor for Office Administrator/HR Specialist, ensuring cost is kept to a minimum and appropriate assessment methods are used. Interview as needed.
  • Employee relations issues – coach and advise managers on any employee relations issues which could include performance issues, restructures, absence etc. Escalate to HR Director as appropriate.
  • Drive to continually improve the Australian Handbook, policies and processes, keeping them up to date and in line with local laws and global policies. Advise managers on legal issues.

Selection Criteria:

  • Likely to have at least 5 years of previous HR experience up to Senior Advisor level or previous HR Management/Business Partnering experience
  • Familiarity with working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Creative, driven, with the desire to work in an autonomous role
  • Knowledge of performance management methods
  • Knowledge of Employee relations and understanding of local Laws
  • Ability to come up with ideas for improvement
