job description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a fun, team oriented People & Culture Advisor to join a widely recognized ASX listed company that is the most experienced company in Australia within their field.

Within the People and Culture team, you will ensure to attract, develop and retain talent through partnering with managers throughout the brand and equip them with the tools needed to evolve people and build a culture that inspires and engages the employees.

This broad and exciting role offers a variety of HR project work, as well as being able to use your expertise to provide an extensive range of HR generalist support.

To be considered for this role you will possess the following:

  • 2 or more years experience within a People & Culture role or equivalent
  • The ability to work through end to end informal to formal and complex employee relations (performance management, misconduct, absence management, investigations) cases.

Key duties of this position include but are not limited to :

  • Providing advice on HR policies, processes and legislation
  • Identifying areas of improvement within the HR team and other areas of the business
  • Advising managers on remuneration and employment law
  • Managing the recruitment process, and coaching managers on interviewing techniques as necessary
  • Revising HR policies and procedures to ensure efficiency in relation to the employee life cycle
  • Coach on the relevant process, provide context and recommend appropriate next steps.
  • Proactively contact Team Leaders to guide/mentor/coach on how to approach under performance or absenteeism
  • Escalate high level matters to the relevant stakeholders on a need to know basis.
  • Guiding, mentoring and/or coaching Team Leaders on all employee relations cases inclusive of performance management, misconduct, grievance, absence management and investigations
