About the role

Randstad are currently working with a local council in the Northern suburbs of Victoria who have multiple opportunities for Home Care Support Workers to join their team. These temporary assignments will allow you to give back to the community by providing a vital service that can help people stay in their own homes long as possible.

Duties may include:

• Assistance with personal care
• Domestic assistance - general cleaning, washing, bed making, etc.
• Assisted shopping/client appointments
• Respite care
• Meal preparation

You will also be required to provide support for an individual or small group in a community setting, which is a new initiative currently being introduced by the council.

About you

To be successful for this role, you will require the following:

• Experience in supporting older people within their home and community settings
• Experience in supporting small groups of older people in activity based programs in a community setting (highly desirable)
• Certificate III in Aged Care, Home Care, Individual Support or equivalent
• Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
• Current Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
• Current Working with Children Check
