    About the role:

    This is a temporary position, offering full-time hours 7:00am - 3:45pm Monday - Thursday, 7:00am - 12:00pm Friday for a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our Defence Maintenance & Support Services team. This job is based in state-of-the-art facilities with the latest equipment will work across a range of heavy military vehicles, including 4WD's, armoured tanks, trucks, tracked vehicles and infantry personnel carriers.


    This role is located within our Moorebank NSW defence base and offers a dynamic team environment, work-life balance, friendly hours including early knock-off on Fridays.

    Your duties will include:

    • Perform all trade related tasks associated with the maintenance and repair of vehicles, plant and equipment.
    • Operate machinery and assist in non-mechanical maintenance and construction tasks as required.
    • Providing the service, repair and overhaul of mechanical parts such as the engine, the transmission and suspension systems.
    • Conduct maintenance tasks, including technical inspections and classifications.
    • Diagnose, overhaul, repair, tune, maintain and test diesel, petrol and gas-powered vehicles.y

    Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:

    • Trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic at Cert III (AUR31116) or equivalent level OR trade qualified Plant Mechanic at Cert III (AUR31216).
    • Experienced on a wide range of vehicles
    • Current Drivers Licence
