Join Skout Solutions and Ventia in safely conducting and recording maintenance tasks on a vast range of equipment fleets including light, medium, heavy, and armoured vehicles.

Work full-time for 3 months initially with the possibility of permanency for the right person. Our mechanical crew on the workshop floor are responsible for the exciting job of maintaining an array of different defense vehicles in an awesome team environment where no two days are the same. Some of the benefits include an early friday knock-off and opportunity for supported training and upskilling along the way.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Conduct minor body and trim repairs
• Test, clean, reassemble and adjust repaired or replaced parts.
• Repair, replace and overhaul worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions, and differentials.
• Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition and electronic fuel injection.
• Inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Supply a recognised Trade Certificate III of proficiency (Light Vehicle Mechanic) or above
• Obtain or can obtain a valid open HR License
• Ability to promote a positive HSE culture in the workplace
• Experience within a maintenance environment would be highly regarded.
• Intermediate computer skills.

You must be an Australian Citizen and be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
