My client is a Tier 1 manufacturer of construction and agricultural equipment, providing a quality product that is known and utilised in most climates globally.

With branches in major cities, distribution centres on the east and west coast, as well as a dealer network of more than one hundred outlets, they have one of the best construction and agricultural sales footprints in Australia.

The business works with clients across a wide range of industries including construction, agriculture, and civil works, and government, defence, mining, waste and recycling.

The role:

The role of the General Manager – Marketing and Strategy is a key part of the Leadership Team, driving programs for direct to consumer, retail, e-commerce and distributor channels promoting our products and services in the ANZ region across all retail and wholesale customers.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will have an opportunity to influence and take an established business to the next level, opening doors and further opportunities to aid with the company’s vision on growth.


The successful candidate will demonstrate;

  • Superior organisation and planning skills.
  • Experience in brand management and positioning.
  • Experience in product planning and product management.
  • Ability to develop strategic marketing plans, define business targets and manage the annual budgets.
  • Ability to drive high levels of customer service across the business.
  • Experience across multiple marketing disciplines including inbound and outbound marketing
  • Experience in the development and implementation of e-commerce strategy
  • Strong understanding of the key levers in search and social media marketing and a high level of technology awareness.
  • Strong Leadership skills and proven ability to run a team.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Senior Key Account management experience.
  • Understanding of aftermarket support.
  • Ability to comply with company procedures and policies
  • Development of relationships with key suppliers, business partners and other external associations.


This role is considered the flag ship role for the immediate growth of the organisation, as such they are looking for someone very particular to take this challenge on.

You must have;

  1. Exposure to Construction or Agricultural mobile plant, excavators, loaders, generators, forklifts or tractors,
  2. Passion and desire to work for one of the leading manufacturers globally
  3. A long term vision to stay develop and grow with the business and enjoy some successes along the way
  4. Proven success in a similar role capacity prior
  5. A can do work hard attitude, who does not mind pushing the boundaries and challenging the business


The successful applicant will receive an excellent salary ranging from $140-180,000 + super + car + a very lucrative bonus structure, as well as industry recognised training and development, that will see your career develop in a very reasonable time frame, opening doors to opportunities on an international scale.
