The service offerings include global custody, fund administration and agency services.

We are seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to take on the management of the team as well as assisting the fund accountants in the oversight function of the service.

The team covers 3 funds service offerings: Accounting and Valuations & Regulatory Reporting, Transfer Agency and Tax services.

The key responsibilities of the Fund Accounting Manager

  • Challenge current processes and seek new ways of working to enhance the services to clients
  • Define an all encompassing approach to delivering a high standard of client services to fund managers and institutional clients.
  • Look for ways to drive cost effective operations to increase revenue, reduce risks and control expenses.
  • Reviewing the teams work and ensuring service level standards are met
  • Ensuring all funds activities are delivered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Operational Risk considerations

The successful Fund Accounting Manager should have the below skills and experience :

  • A minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in fund services
  • Strong knowledge on the administration of unit trusts, banking services, accounting, valuation and custody.
  • Strong client facing and negotiation skills to deal with internal and external clients.
  • Team management experience
  • Able to work under pressure and have an appreciation for service deliverables
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Understanding of the Australian tax regime and annual trust distributions.
