The Role

The Floodplain and Stormwater Team Leader will lead a team to deliver strategic and operational floodplain and stormwater management initiatives and programs. They will report directly to the Manager Asset Design and will have four direct reports, consisting of four Design Engineers.

The incumbent will be responsible for contributing to safe, effective and efficient catchment management and stormwater (drainage) design across the City.

The Person

To be successful, you will hold a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Have an in-depth understanding and demonstrated experience in floodplain and stormwater (drainage) management. Have experience in managing design teams, ensuring effective and timely delivery of project and program activities.

You will hold a clean NSW Class C Driver’s license. Have an understanding of Local Government legislation and hold 3-5 years of industry experience. Have excellent communication, coordination and problem solving skills.

You will have solid experience with 12d, AutoCAD, and water engineering applications such as DRAINS, HEC-RAS, XP-RAFTS, MIKE II, TUFLOW, WateRIDE and MUSIC. Demonstrated experience in GIS packages and computer literacy in Microsoft Office Applications.
