job description

About the role:

Prepare timely and accurate financial reporting for the business’s and its stakeholders. To manage the audit process, with the assistance of the Group Financial Controller. Undertake the day to day running of the Finance function. Control the overall budgeting process and ongoing measurement of budget performance. Work with the broader finance team, driving a high-performance culture. To oversee the Property finance function and ensure accurate cash flow forecasts are prepared in conjunction with the Development team.

Your key duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Production of financial statements for use in internal and external reporting, as well as board reporting.
  • Responsible for consolidated results for monthly and statutory reporting.
  • Commercial analysis, trends and variance for use for strategic decision making.
  • Assist the Project Managers in relation to monthly cost transfers and review of project discrepancies.
  • Lead on the external audit, annual statutory accounting and tax returns.
  • Annual group budgeting, forecasting and all associated reforecasting.
  • Support decision making on all CAPEX, acquisition, development and JV opportunities.
  • A key driver of process improvements and system enhancements.

About you:

You are a natural leader and problem solver with a demonstrated sound knowledge and application of accounting principles. You thrive in a stand alone function taking charge of this recent acquisition entity of the business. In addition to having 5+ years previous experience in a similar role, your skills and attributes include:

  • Ability to think on your feet , self motivated,forward thinking who thrives working independently
  • A high level of stakeholder engagement skills and experience partnering with various stakeholders
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and time management capabilities
  • CA / CPA qualified with exposure to M&A’s
  • Experience using Jobpac is beneficial
  • Current / recent Civil Construction experience essential
