job description

An exciting leadership role has arisen with an attractive and reputable brand in the industry.

Acting as the driving force behind the financial control responsibilities this individual will have oversight of the general ledger balances for a number of sub-groups, other key responsibilities include:

  • advising the business on balance sheet impact
  • communication between the offshore teams
  • accounting treatments and liaising with external auditors
  • collaboration with other teams across Finance on new business products and projects
  • research and assessment of new accounting standards
  • lead process improvement initiatives

The successful candidate for this role of Financial Controller will have the following background and skills to add to the team:

  • a Chartered Accountant
  • previous Financial Control or audit experience either with a Big 4 Chartered Accountancy firm and/or a large, complex organisation.
  • a financial services background or experience within corporate advisory is highly desired
  • experience working with teams in offshore locations is highly regarded
  • prior experience in the application of IFRS and/or US GAAP accounting standards
